Smith & Fong Plyboo is an innovative architectural bamboo plywood. Offering LEED credits and FSC’s mark for responsible forestry, Plyboo is the most respected name in bamboo plywood and veneers. Smith & Fong offers the world's only formaldehyde-free FSC-certified bamboo. Bamboo is, without question, one of the most sustainable, versatile and aesthetically pleasing building materials. All Plyboo is made from fully matured Moso species of bamboo, which grows to maturity in five to six years with a height of over 40 feet and a diameter of more than six inches. Each year, only 20 percent of the plantation's bamboo --or only the five-year growth-- is cut, ensuring the forest canopy remains intact and the ecosystem is not disturbed. Smith & Fong has been working with laminated bamboo for more than 20 years and is pleased to offer the current collection of grain patterns, textures, and dimensions to suit any taste or application.
