Top 6 Most Gorgeous Plyboo Installs You’ve Never Seen

Plyboo is a sustainable, versatile and attractive design solution for decorative plywood and flooring. At Intectural, we especially love Plyboo because it’s made from one of the most sustainable, rapidly renewable materials on the planet – bamboo!

1. St. Joseph’s Medical Center

Designed by the global architectural firm HOK, this reception and waiting area at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, IN, features Plyboo Flat Grain Bamboo Plywood and Veneer (Amber).

2. BanQ

Though this restaurant is now closed, we just had to show you the beauty of this former Asian eatery in Boston, MA. Architects designed the interior with PlybooStrand Bamboo Plywood and Veneer (Neopolitan) in the bar area and on dining booths, seating and tabletops. PlybooStrand Bamboo Flooring (Neopolitan) was also used to complement the avant-garde ceiling structure.

3. One Jackson Square

Designed by architectural firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, New York City’s One Jackson Square, a luxury condominium complex, features custom-built panels of Edge Grain Bamboo Plywood (Amber) that create a sculpted, canon effect.

4. University of Alaska Anchorage

University of Alaska Anchorage used Edge Grain Bamboo Plywood (Amber) to create an extensive “cloud” ceiling that floated over the astronomy department’s new planetarium drum in the Science Center.

5. Syracuse University School of Architecture

Home of the Syracuse University School of Architecture, Slocum Hall includes a theater fabricated by architectural millwork firm R.B. Woodcraft. The classroom features Edge Grain Bamboo Plywood (Amber) with cut circles that not only aid acoustics but also provide a decorative addition.

6. Kitchen Remodel

Plyboo isn’t just for commercial projects. The cabinets in this gorgeous kitchen remodel are made from PlybooStrand Bamboo Plywood and Veneer (Neopolitan).
